Empowering individuals, transforming communities
Our Service Projects
i) Provision Camps
Over the past 25 years, the Sai Ananda Foundation has been dedicated to its mission, and the provision camps have been one of our major initiatives. Each month, we distribute provision packs to 100 hardcore poor individuals and families who are registered as our beneficiaries. These packs consist of essential dry rations such as rice bags, cooking oil, and other sundry items. With this ongoing effort, we strive to bring relief and support to those facing financial hardships, ensuring they have access to necessities for a better life.

ii) Daily Vegetarian Meals
When the pandemic struck, it brought immense hardship to the underserved community, leaving many without a meal on their plate and struggling to survive after losing their jobs and income. In response to their desperate calls for help, we initiated the Daily Vegetarian Meals program, which began in May 2020. This initiative continues to serve 150 meals each day, as the pandemic has exposed even more people who were living in desperate conditions. Freshly cooked vegetarian food packs are distributed before lunchtime at the Sai Ananda premises and thoughtfully delivered to elderly and disabled beneficiaries, ensuring that those in need don't go hungry.

iii) Skills Training and Employment
At Sai Ananda, we strongly believe in empowering the underprivileged to stand on their own two feet with dignity and independence. To achieve this, we have developed the Sai Ananda Baking and Sewing Lessons, providing single mothers and grannies with a platform to learn valuable skills and earn a steady income. The Baking Lessons focus on crafting simple vegetarian pastries like jam tarts, cookies, and sweets, which are packaged and sold at affordable prices, instilling an entrepreneurial spirit within them. Similarly, the Sewing Lessons, guided by a professional tailor, equip these women with sewing skills, providing them with fabrics and sewing machines to create their own products. This initiative not only offers them a source of income but also fosters a sense of self-reliance and pride, empowering them to shape a brighter future for themselves and their families.

iv) Monthly Living Allowance
To ensure that even those who are unable to work receive support, Sai Ananda provides a monthly living allowance. This assistance is specifically dedicated to grannies living alone and disabled individuals, such as the blind and amputees, who are completely unable to work. These individuals have been identified as requiring help due to difficulties such as rent arrears or being unable to pay for utilities. The allowance provides them with the means to secure shelter and purchase other necessities, empowering them to continue living independently with dignity.

v) Welfare Assistance
To ensure the holistic needs of the underprivileged are met, Sai Ananda also provides essential domestic items tailored to their requirements, including adult diapers, milk powder, rice, oil, and various other sundry or dry rations. Additionally, for families facing financial hardships, such as single mother families or those with disabled members, Sai Ananda offers these domestic items at a subsidized rate during our provision camps. This approach makes these items accessible to them, while also instilling value in their purchases, preventing excess consumption. As a result, these families and elderly individuals can rest assured that their basic necessities won't run short, allowing them to focus on their well-being and advancement as they strive to break free from deprivation.
